What is The Walk?
Inspired by Life’s Journey’s is the motto of ‘The Walk’.
It captures the emotional connection between people we all know who have either suffered, or passed due to Cancer or Heart and circulatory diseases. They give us all the inspiration to find ways to give something back.
The Walk aims to raise enough money to make considerable contributions to charities that work tirelessy to support both those affected by cancer and heart disease, and their loved ones.
In 2025, we are walking from the village of Llangwm in Pembrokeshire to the City of Birmingham (approx. 225 miles | 364 kilometers), covering more than 20 miles per day over 11 days.
Start The Walk:
The Walk starts on Thursday 5th June from Llangwm Village RFC
Finish The Walk:
Sunday 15 June 2025 is Fathers Day and will be a fitting day to finish at Chamberlain Square in Birmingham.

More about The Walk
The Walk was initially created in memory of Wally Hames, who sadly passed away on the evening of 22 March 2020.
The Walk will be a chance to remember, thank and celebrate our “Dad’s.” It will create an unforgetable experience and challenge, to be shared by friend’s and family, walking together and creating memories.
Whether you wish complete the full walk, or even just a part of it, you are welcome. We will be generating as much funds as possible for 2 deserving charities. We will be walking for both Help Harry Help Others Cancer Charity and British Heart Foundation.
We are looking for as much support as possible, through sponsorships, donations and walkers, to share The Walk with as many people as possible
